She helped to launch Walter Payton College Prep in 2000, one of the top-ranked schools in the country and has supported principals and teachers in over 130 schools in Chicago in developing systems to promote college readiness and individual student growth through a focus on critical literacy. She has worked with elementary schools and high schools with large ELL and low-income populations.
